Default Getting into 4wd buggy, B64 or B44?

Thinking about getting into 4wd buggy. Not a newbie to RC but new to this class.

Looking at the options I'm considering either a used B44(.2/.3) or a new B64.

What I'm hoping for is opinions from people who have run both the B44 and B64. Is one easier to drive? I know the B64 is said to be easier to work on.

I know there are other brands of buggy but at our track there are seem to be more TA than any other brand.

Owning a B64.....no choice there. Go with the latest design with readily available parts.

The Tekno eb410 is coming very soon. I'd wait to see how you like that chassis before chosing either of those

I'm a fan of tekno but i think that getting help at the local level will be easier with the associated buggies having more people running them.

What if they all switch to Tekno when the EB410 comes out?

Well if those choice is really between the b64 and the b44.3, definitely the b64 all day. I didn't even want to run my b44.3 when I had one because it looked so fragile to me lol. I imagine the b64 can only be an improvement

B64 = way easier to work on
B64 = a ton more durable
B64 = new model means parts are going to be easier to get
B64 = more people at your local track will be running them so set-up will be better

B44 sounds to be fragile from what ive read.

Been running B5m and had no breakage, hoping the B64 will be similar.

I've owned both and the B64 flat our drives better and is way more durable. I never felt in my comfort zone driving the B44.3 but my driving and lap times improved significantly after going to the B64. I also haven't broken a single part on the B64, whereas I was constantly needing to replace parts on the B44.3.

B64, or XB4 all day long. B44 is too fragile

B44 takes way too long to do regular maintenance. I had a b44, I got real tired of shims everywhere and 15 screws to get to a F or R diff. B64 is way easier to work on, almost as easy as a xb4.

So I see tower has a $20 gift card with the b64 club racer. What are the differences and is it worth it for a beginner to get into 4wd?

Thanks

Edit: Maybe this question is better asked in another thread?
