Also to get proper ride height I'm running 8mm of spring spacers in the front, a 5mm and a 3mm stacked. In the rear I'm running 3mm of spring spacers, just a single 3mm spacer.

I made gauges out of zip ties to help set the droop correctly.

Thanks. My manual quotes 109mm front and 127.5mm rear. Does yours say something different?

I think that is more spacers, for higher ride height. Do you know what ride height that would put the car at?

Page 27 middle step shows adjusting front droop to 103. Page 28 first step shows adjusting rear droop to 122.

Page 42 says 109 and 127.5. The thing is it says truggy shown but applicable for all vehicles. That doesn't make sense because that version of that truggy had longer shocks than the sc8.2 and rc8.2.

Either way, my droop was way too short out of the box, the rear was almost arms level.

I have my truck completely torn down at the moment, but with those spacers I think my rear arms were slightly above level and front arms were level or slightly below level.

I'll get it back together here shortly.

Esc died. This is my last motor and esc, lol. Hopefully they still work. Hobbywing max6 and leopard 4092.

Making progress on cleaning.

No, I forgot I even had the stock one. I thought my mmx esc might have died, but turns out something broke inside my lipo. It reads good voltage but has connection error and rattles.

I sunk car when I was running on water with paddle tires.

Shallower water.

Got it back going. I run mostly off road, just doing quick test of new setup. Feels faster than video shows. Just running for like a minute or so. 6s 17t 1390kv.

I checked my droop as you mentioned - mine wasn't too far off from factory. A few mm. I added a 3mm spacer to front and rear to get about the level you describe. I have also added a sway bar to the rear

Buggy is proving to be pretty resilient. I was jumping at the quarry as big as I could the other day.

Mine has had difficult early childhood.

I have a fairly thick protection sheet on it - hasn't got through yet.

Took the car to the "desert" - and old quarry for some runs with the new 2200kv hobbywing sensored setup. Also have the spare tyre mounted and the thick rear sway bar.

Have a tekin rx8 coming (to replace the SCT Pro) - hope its worth it! Also tossing up a Tekin T8 1900kv motor...

You got the light bar. Are you switching it from transmitter, or just manually?

I got the tekin setup installed - mainly for the stronger BEC than Xerun SCT

manually for now, I'll probably make something where I can turn it on and off with transmitter soon.

I put a little servo extender wire so I can remove body easily. To get into receiver box I had to undo servo horn, so now the led just plugs into top of receiver box.
