So is anybody driving this car yet? Serpent America sold out as they are out of stock. This thread is pretty dead and not much on Facebook group. Thinking about canceling my preorder and just wait for the new Tekno 4wd.

A lot of Serpent owners use and following the various SRX/SDX related groups on Facebook. RCTech is pretty low in terms of use from what I've seen.

nice car, but between limited parts support(shop Ebay) and Serpent Americas limited shipping options plus no interest on this site(I know facebook is where the action is, but also seems slow), I ended up selling the car. I actually got the car for the 13.5 class and was geared at 78/30, ran really good but needed a fan.

start out it 7.0 and go from there. I am at 6.95 (76/27) and it runs solid at about 150 degrees. It will depend on your track conditions and motor type and timming. I'm using Maclan motors with the stock rotor with 47 degrees timming (as measured in Sky RC motor checker)

I am at 76/26 with a Fantom V2T, no fan and comes off at 150.
I am also using a slipper delte kit which helps with acceleration and braking! The new Rear flex system is also super trick!

Unlikely thats going to happen, car doesnt need them. There has been no demand thus far for them and unlike a belt drive car they are more complicated to design. The SDX was initially designed for high grip and ball difs arent desired on carpet or turf in most situations. SRX thrives in low to med grip and SDX thrives from med to high grip

FYI find the SDX thread on facebook most of us team guys rarely check in on RCtech and you will have your questions answered much quicker!

Looking to buy one of these kits over a B64D. They look real nice. I currently run a Durango Dex410v5 which I love, although parts are fast becoming an issue so im looking to change. I can see some resemblance to it in this car. I run on low grip dirt/clay.

One question though why is it only recommended to run the servo in the position up front under the chassis brace (like the durango) with the motor in the forward position and with saddles?

I would want to run it similar to my durango setup with rear motor and shorty and servo way up front. I noticed in the manual it says this is not recommended.

Also what is parts support like for this kit?

Cheers

No specific recommendation on servo placement, you can put it in a few different locations, just depends on your grip levels. I don't recall the manual stating that, I need to go back and look at that!

Serpent America has all parts in stock most of the Time I have had the car since it was first released and haven't broken anything! I have bags of brand new spares for no reason, car is super durable.
