Just the captured aspect was removed, because during testing the wheel could flex enough to rub on it in a particular hub height setting. So it had to be removed, because you know people would definitely complain.

However, the arm was thoroughly tested with the hoops removed and there was no negative impact to strength.

The sad thing is the dex410v5 is actually pretty good car. But when your business model goes from "lets have a race team" to "lets get rid of the team, and oh, that part about supporting grass roots racing? yeah, we meant lets pocket the cash", not surprised its not getting the push it deserves but oh well. stuff happens.

For those with experience with other cars, how well are you finding the battery is balancing with the motor? On my current vehicle I ended up putting the ESC back behind the motor and centered the rest of the electronics up front since the servo is centered as well. But of course the AE B64D isnt' like that so curious.

I am hopeful that the gearing will allow for the 13.5 class for sure.

Man... I haven't driven my 44.3 or T5m in about a year. But a fresh new 4wd buggy always seems to reel me back into the mix! Just pre-ordered from Tower with the $71 off coupon.

Looking forward to it

Funny you mentioned that:

Prototype shown. Due to ongoing R&D, photos may not match final kit. RC10B64D Team Kit shown equipped with items NOT included in kit: Reedy motor, Reedy battery, Reedy ESC, Reedy servo, XP receiver, pinion gear, wheels, tires, inserts. Body comes clear. Assembly and painting required.
A version best suited for carpet and turf is coming ...

Updated the first post.

Guess I should have waited one day before starting the thread.

perhaps a Mod can edit the title once both versions are introduced.

I'm with you Ted. Body looks like someone stood on the mold and squashed it - hideous.
