I was anxious to get the car ASAP but after all of these comments I think I can wait another month or two so I can continue to read the witty comments. They are cracking me up.

Choose one with metal gears, >100oz/in torque and better than .14 sec/60* speed and you're good.

The only thing I bought in advance is front wheels, because I knew they would be hard to come by when the car is released.
