Wonder if the hole pattern in the chassis allows you to "flip" the center diff 180° and run the front driveshaft in the rear and the rear driveshaft in the front for the purpose of mounting the motor to the front instead of the rear as a tuning option. I see that chassis brace in the "way" but who knows.....

I'm saying this because they designed in the option of mounting the rear shocks fore or aft on the rear arms, perhaps they thought this in since the motor is the single biggest ballast in the car..........

I think it allows you to shift the center diff front or back for weight bias, front for high traction and back for low traction.

Its interesting that design features of the b6 like movable rear tower/rear camber block to gearbox design werent carried over to the 64

Rear tower looks like it will be movable from front to back of the mount. Rear arms have captured shock mounting positions front and back of the arm

It would be cool if instead of optional driveshafts (xray), if you just switched the driveshafts front to back.

Another note, it looks as if the rear arms are symmetric i.e. they could be on either the L or R side. I wonder about the fronts.

Anybody notice the B5 ball cups, which are labeled L and R, are on the opposite sides when used on this car? I'll assume it has to do with the geometry....Or they just slapped them on for pictures, who knows.

Wheel clearance?

BRSracing 11-23-2016 10:59 AM

according to Cherry who has had good info on this car it will come with gear and slipper center diff.

Assuming they will use the B6 style ball cup in which case the R will be right and the L will be on the left. The B5 and B6 are opposite from each other...

Edit: aeRayls already covered this... I should read more before hitting the reply button.

The car will have the B6 Ballcups, Asso mentioned in one Facebook comment to another user.

Again, these are the prototype pics and could have made some tweaks to the final design. If they release the full product page tonight, it will answer a lot of questions. :batman::batman:

Actually it helps because I've got the B6d, it doesn't use the off set cups. I didn't know the B6 did, or that they were opposite the B5.;)

I hope it does not have the diff/slipper assembly in it. I never cared for it on my dex410.
