I'd say AE seeing their 4wd MISS making the A-Main at all last 2015 IFMAR 1/10 Worlds event has something to do with it!

Now it just got to get out of "In Stock Limited Quantities" and to "In Stock" so I can get it right away when the e-cash promo comes again. Probably just need to receive the other like 20 skids at the Nevada facility to get there.

They may do a 1 day e-cash like they did on January 31st an end of month sales push thing and they had a 1 day redeem day of Feb 3rd before the last week long promo. Or I will be waiting until up to March 8th possibly to see it again!

AE 12mm front 4wd wheels are quite plentifully around at the moment, so I am grabbing a couple sets now. Out the gate though, I'll be modding a spare set of 9.5mm front hexes to fix the 5mm internal diameter front axle on the B64D. I still have several good sets of tires already mounted up that I use on my 44.3

I'm going with a reedy esc and motor myself. I have no complaints with the new 510R I use in another car.

My B64D will have Reedy 510R with fan, Sonic M3 7.5 motor, Savox 2274 "Cavalieri" Servo.

Forgive me as I'm new and haven't been in the track since 25 years ago. Would this be a good starter for both my stepson (14 yrs old) and myself?

I wouldn't recommend a 4wd buggy for a starter kit. I'd go with a 2wd short course or 2wd buggy. Much simpler designs, and probably going to have a better turn out. Check with your local track and see what they run the most of. I'd bet it's not 4wd buggy.
