The car come with a center differential just like an electric 1/8. This is what the majority of people will run on dirt. A slipper is usually only used for high traction like carpet tracks.

You don't have to buy parts, just use the center diff, Jeez.

The XRAY XB4 is considerably more and comes with a slipper that almost everybody ditches for a gear diff. In fact people always bitch about having to spend the money on the gear diff and ask why its not included....no company is ever going to sell a car just the way you want. You will be able to buy the B64 for less than $430. Buying extra junk is just the way it goes in any hobby or sport like this. I ride dirtbikes and never once have I bought a bike and rode it the way it came....its the nature of the beast. The only company that came close was TLR. They gave you both yellow and white wheels!

Just want to clarify. Are you saying that the carpet version will be released to retailers about a month behind the dirt version? So approx mid-March?

I'm just looking over the parts list, and if my assumptions are right, it would cost around $100 - $150 to convert the dirt setup to the carpet setup. I race on turf, but was going to just buy the 64D and convert it. But if we're talking $100 or more it might just be better to wait. Plus I'm assuming the carpet version parts won't be available until close to the time of that model's release.

Nothing is necessarily needed to run the car on turf. With the setup we found best for turf, it would cost around 100 dollars to convert the dirt car.

would have been nice for sure but honestly for the money not surprised. Still cheaper than when I priced the conversion on my Durango lol.

A local will be getting this vehicle when it comes out so excited to see how it does, and more so in general, that 1/10 4wd is picking up again!

Is there an actual release date for the "D" yet? Is it next week or the middle of the month. Everybody's website shows a different date.
