I wouldn't complain if they threw the slipper assembly in assuming it doesn't need say something special to use it (like different mount, etc). Even if they did it like xray did with there xb2s initial release of offering the ball diff I recall as a first run bonus.

The Slipper also needs a different length rear driveshaft as well. RC America thew in the ball diff, not Xray.

I ran the D413 during my time with HB. A 4wd handles great with just gear diffs. No need for a slipper imo. Its about time companies started making 4wd 1/10 buggies like shrunk down 1/8 buggies. Just my .02

Who knows...when we had the slipper in the B44.2, everyone wanted a diff. The center slipper is the new unicorn.

Good starting point would be a similar gearing to what you would use with a 5.5t motor and then use the max power adjustment in the ESC to get the speed and feel correct for your track.

i don't want/need a diff for 13.5 on high bite clay. just adds rotating mass. plus the larger diversity of spur gears that would be available to a slipper setup.

what other benefits you see when doing just a slipper versus gear diff on carpet other than just rotating mass, and, do you find you want to use some of those garolite or whatever material that is for pads?

Different vehicle but I have one that comes with a gear diff / slipper combo that if I can get the darn sun gear off I can see about testing it locked (slipper only) versus as a diff.

I wouldn't be so sure that the slipper is lighter than a center diff... at least with the XB4. I prefer the slipper over the center diff on high bite.

I'm sure AE will have a setup slipper available.

The ball diffs are 16g/ea. lighter than the gear diffs. Not a slipper assembly, I realize, but there it is.

The shock lengths were the same as the B6, although the 31mm rear shocks were preferred by some people drivers on the B6. So I'm sure their will be both options, lol.

While only 2 spur gears were made, mainly because it the gear really couldn't get any smaller but the motor mount slide slots has enough adjustment to put some big pinions on their for 13.5.

17.5 Stock 4wd racing here in Australia. We need 75 or 72 spur gears to match ratios. For example I myself am coming from a B44.2 with 72/31 gearing and almost full timing . We race on med bite to grooved outdoor tracks with about 25 sec lap times
