4.0 trans installed in the SCT! Local guy machined a kit for conversion and I've been testing at the track with awesome results at Hobby Action in AZ. We weighed and it saves around 60 grams and lowers the CG with more weight forward. Diff is lowered by 2mm over other laydown options allowing more droop. Pretty pumped on the set up. The biggest difference I felt was a a planted rear end with awesome rotation through the tight stuff.

It is the stock bumper. you can install with wings for mud flaps or in the "race" configuration which is just the square rear bumper. Lighter setup and does not catch on the body as much.

Here is the SCT 1.0 manual bumpers are basically the same.

Bumper install is pages 40-41 show how to install the different options.

2.0 and 3.0 they just got rid of the mud flaps all together.

has anybody ran the Low frequency springs in the rear TLR233013?. Are they worth it? i was looking at the rates and the stock pink springs that come with the truck are pink 2.3 rate. the stiffest low frequency spring is red at 2.16. are these going to be to soft?

I think the LF are a little too light for the SCT however you can try them. Depends on the conditions and the rest of your setup.

On the setup sheets it say Ackerman Ball Stud: standard and low mount. What does that mean?

They make standard size ball studs, and some that are shorter (basically have no "neck").

Example of low mount:

Any one heard any rumor of a 4.0 coming out anytime soon? I have the 2.0 and want to upgrade but I would hate to get the 3.0 and then have the 4.0 drop right after I got it with my luck

I don't think that there will be a SCT4.0 truck coming for a while. The 3.0 is so nice, there really isn't much to change. If anything TLR will come out with some more options for it. Remember this truck has only been out for a little less than a year now.

Does anyone know if TLR338006 will work on the sct 3.0? Horizon has it listed in the Optional Accessories for sct 3.0.

You would need to add some holes to the chassis but otherwise it would work with the truck. The 22-T came with the additional holes in the chassis to make this conversion much easier.

It seems like they could just update the chassis part with some more holes for laydown and call it a day.

Any chance of mounting the rear end of the new 22T 4.0 on the back of the SCT and using the exotek body mounts, assuming you drill holes in the chassis?
