Default New Losi 8ight E 4.0 owner

Hey guys i'm new here to the forum and just have what I hope to be a simple question for the veteran RC guys out there. I built a Losi 8ight E 4.0 and its running a 1900kv Tekin sensored motor 15/45 gearing with a Hobbywing SCT Pro ESC on 4s. I got the Hobbywing for next to nothing new in the box from a buddy but my issue is this thing lacks power for sure it just doesn't have the punch i'm used to coming from my Arrma Typhon on 4s i'm wondering if maybe this ESC doesn't have enough for the Tekin 1900 any help would be great. I've already played with timing as well.

Running a 1900 Tekin and that speedo may be the issue.
Some Motors don't like other controls.
Try you Typhon set up in it and see what happens.
You could also bump up to 6s...just watch temps if you do that!

If I had the Typhon that would work. I really do think the hobbywing is lacking the power for that low of a kV rating

The sctpro , 1900, and a 4s pack is a proven combo. The esc doesn't "make" power , the motor draws power. As long as the esc can supply what the motor is asking for, and the battery is strong enough it will work . You need to check a couple things though. Set your radio endpoints to 100% , make sure there is no expo in the radio, calibrate the speedo and radio correctly , hook up the HW programmer and make sure the punch or start power is set up wide open, and take the timing out of it . 4 pole motors don't like it and don't need it . If that doesn't work for you , send me the system for proper disposal

Buy the rx8 and put hobby wing in different truck, or maybe even use it as an excuse to buy a new one!! Hehehe🤓
