I love my setup gauges. I have one for just about every scale I have a car for.

I used my setup again this weekend and it's just dead nuts accurate. I was anywhere from .5-1.5* off doing it with regular gauges and by eye. No more and I can feel my car handles more consistent.

The biggest key factor is having blocks under the car for a consistent measuring point, and the repeatable nature of the setup system measurements. It just is a lot more accurate and consistent. I'm very happy with my purchase and I can see myself using this thing much more than on initial build or setup.

I change my setup between different tracks, also sometimes I notice my car has tweaked a bit and I just can't get to the bottom of it. Now I will be able to spot tweaks and maintain them properly. I can see this being a good maintenance and reference tool as well.

I ordered the 1/10 Hudy Setup station from RCAmerica. I heard I needed aluminum wheel nuts and hudy "droop blocks" which is how they referred to them. Do I need these add-ons and are there cheaper ones? EX: they mentioned they were 20mm. I'm sure i want ride heights between 19-23/24mm. Do I need to order another option. What else do I need to order? thanks all

Sucks - I sometimes have 18mm ride height on hi bite and 22mm outdoor. Anything cover these ranges so I don't need to buy 4? Thank you very much!

Has anyone tried using a yoga foam block, where you trace out your chassis and then cut the block to the same footprint? Would this have the same effect as blocks?

you do if you want to be able to setup to your exact ride height. or you can just buy either 2 of them (1 of each) and try and get by that way, or get the 20mm Hudy blocks and just setup that way. i mean Bent says thats how the entire team sets the car up. you just have to setup knowing if your ride height is lower you will actually have like maybe 1* or less or so more camber and vise versa.

Only if you measured the foam block height wise and cut it to 20mm or your ride height.

You can always have somebody with a 3d printer, make you some blocks. I had 2 sets made. One at buggy and 1 at SCT heights

Great idea! Any links online?

Edit-ended up buying 1 15-20mm ghea ride height guage, 1 20-30mm, and 1 raw speed 22mm-24-mm cube. That will allow me to set the ride height at 20mm and 22mm on the setup board, and still be able to check 18mm ride height. Didn't want to have to buy 4 ghea ride height guages. May get another 15mm-20mm but at least can get away with 2 or 3 and not having to buy 4... Also, arrow max makes aluminum nuts that are 4mm. Ordered those to try since they are $8 instead of the expensive Hudy ones. Hope they fit. Thx

your 4mm wheel nuts will fit. the hudy ones are to use with your hands just for sake of ease.
