The only sct that is raced here is the TLR. It's a beginner class for most.

I'm finding that it's varying from region to region. If you live in an area that has big 8th scale tracks, most of your 4wd SCT guys probably have migrated over to EBuggy or ETruggy. If you still have your more intermediate sized tracks, still big but not with huge jumps, then you'll probably have a decent turnout.
Like Kenny (TC5Man) said, in our part of PA, they are almost non-existent. But I travel to the Syracuse area frequently and SCT is pretty popular there.

I agree with others that it's very region dependant. Some tracks have strong classes while others do not. Like stadium truck, it will never go away completely. AE is really the only major US 1/10 racing company that is not supporting the class. Only bright side is that by being a small class, many decent smaller companies have gotten a foothold in the market. There are quite a few trucks by smaller and not well known manufacturers that with a little tweaking can be quite effective on the track. Bottom line is if someone wants to race 4wd SCT, there are plenty to choose from. I think by having the PROSC, AE figure's that they can at least represent the brand in the market. In my area, outdoor 1/8 tracks are dominant. And wherever you find 1/8 buggies, you will likely find 4wd SCT. This niche market that makes up our hobby is a weird one though. Think about the SC10GT, RC10GT2 and SC8/SC8.2 and E variants; awesome vehicles that just didn't catch on. I run them on open track days all the time and love them. Even Losi had released a 4wd Nitro SCT. Electric start! Traxxas offerings in the Slayer Pro, Nitro Slash and Slash 4x4 are still going strongas well. I think AE is missing out.
