Personally, I LOVE the ST class and don't really understand why they have fallen out of favor. Hopefully the XT2 leads to their continued resurgence because they are just fun to drive and to me there is just something about them that is great.

Truck looks really good. Might have to check it out but I LOVE my T5M.

I'm amazed that you run the rear tire with no inserts!!

I hear where you guys are coming from but I actually think its not a bad idea. Most of the ST tires are already probably stiff enough and they all balloon like crazy with the speeds they spin at so I could see it providing pretty good traction on certain surfaces. Heck I have seen where they tape the inserts to keep the ballooning to a minimum so why not just get rid of it alltogether? Also your lightening the wheel which will obviously help acceleration. A lighter wheel is a faster wheel. Gonna try it out!

Ahh, maybe there is a reason alot of the ST tires don't come with inserts! :-)

We have of course tested with closed cell, open cell and no inserts to compare them all on the surface we run on.

And the combination of closed cell front and no insert rear gave the best overall performance for our tire setup and surface.

Not saying this is the solution for all tire setups and surfaces though.......but it's certainly worth a try

I tested with a open cell vs. closed cell on the fronts. Same tire and I agree with Bentka on the dirt tech closed cell foam. It helped the truck (t5m) in the fast sweepers and felt a lot more stable less tippy. I ordered the micro spikes and will try them without the foams in the rear next week. Will let you know what becomes of it.

Malin getting her "soon to be released" Xray XT2 dialed in on astro;

Quote:
Made great progress during setup testing with my Xray XT2 stadium truck yesterday 👍
Ended the day just 0.6 seconds behind my best lap time with my XB2 buggy with a 23.6 sec lap in same conditions.
For a full run I managed to average 24.8 sec pr lap over 10 minutes👍
Really happy with both the speed and ease of driving considering conditions where quite cold and track started getting damp and I was on medium (blue) compound tires 😉👍
Loving my new Xray XT2 at the moment. It's so much fun running stadium truck

Stagger front tires and Micro Spike or Mini Pin for the rear.

All from Schumacher
