The black O-rings are soft. Maybe too soft. If you have new 3.0 diffs the seals should not be leaking after only 4 lipos. Maybe the O-rings were dry or didn't have enough black grease on them. I have the fix for O-rings. Send me a PM.

Maifield barely made a mark with 3.0 and now he is gone to Mugen. Hope the next driver for the 3.0 does better at testing this truck and sharing that info.

If Mugen ever developed a race truck I would be first in line to add it to my fleet. For now, the SCTE still holds an edge over my Mugen conversion on all but the largest outdoor tracks. Very small edge.......

Just got my SCTE 3.0! Any tips to set it up for high grip carpet before I start the build?

Never run on carpet personally. Closest thing would be high bite sugar.

I've never done it either. I run it on dirt in the summer, but I want to get a few runs in the winter just for fun.

Default Shims

I'm just finishing my build and have no idea what, where, or how to shim. Would anyone mind posting a pic?
Thanks!

Weird. Did you build them with some grease on the o-rings? I have had great luck with diffs since they went to the HD with molded in inserts.

Did losb3568 have a running change in the past? I see some of them with clear o-rings and some are black. I definitely like the black ones as they work great. Is there another part number for just the black o-rings?

Yes sir i did use stock black grease as per instruction. I've been build many times differential SCT410/.3 xb4 with out leaking but my new SCTE 3.0 is leaking badly.

I've not seen this as an issue, unless the screws that assemble the diff were not properly tightened. You may just check those, ensuring that you cross tighten.

This will get you started

First 4 minutes of this will also help as the ebuggy diff is same design as the truck.
