Default Chassis slapping.

I have my shocks to the outer most hole on tower, and inner on arms. My chassis is slapping real bad on the smallest of jumps. Also I raised my ride height to 27.5mm. What should I do.

Going to the inside on the shock made the shock effectively smaller, should have been the wrong way. Try going back to middle. Make sure your droop is 96.5mm.

Mine is:
FRONT 2x1.3 avid piston oil 400 PT racing oil kyosho super hard spring/orange 28mm ride heigt
REAR 2x1.3 avid piston oil 375 PT racing oil kyosho super hard spring/ orange 28mm ride height.

The stock spring/ piston is very soft for me with 550 PT oil racing and 450 pt oil racing.

I think its great that you are testing stuff totally different than what is working for others. You might be able to find a way to make it work, but if you are having issues and asking for help try the 3.0 box setup. Basic 3.0 setup is really good and people are wining races with it. Just need springs that maintain ride height. Its going to be difficult to get advice if you change shock pistons and go to extreme mounting locations. IMO, no one is going that far outside the box for a reason. Just trying to help.

Whats the front & rear droop measurements that work best?

Going to a piston with holes that big is going to cause bottoming in the first place. I would put the stock pistons back in.

Really interested having owned SCTE 1.0 with every aftermarkets upgrade under the sun...
I Don't have any slop. The rod ends are actually tight. No slop in the steering.

Here are my gripes:
I wish the steering bell crank where the steering links attach was beefier. And I don't like how there's no steel nut. It's just screws into plastic... I wish it was beefier.
My chassis seems to be wearing rather fast in the very rear edge.
I also wish there were adjustable steering stops in the knuckle.
The sway bars center mounting design & tiny screws. I just don't like it at all. Also the sway bar screws are completely blocked by the bumpers and very hard to access.
One last one...
The motor mounting plate, the center hole where the shaft comes through the plate is too small. My pinion set screw rubs. The hole needs to be bigger.

The dumbass I am, I bought the new scbe buggy. Then I saw the 3.0 version Baja. I still like the vintage buggy look. Slow I started buying the HD diff housing, spacer in between the bearings. Tekno ourselves with shafts front and rear. The 3.0 chassis, then the stiffeners. Oh definitely got rid of the scbe shock towers and got the 3.0. Just now finding out what shock pistons are in the 22 shocks. I already had a nitro scte rtr but they discontinued it. So I'm using the blue shocks with TLR bleeder upgrade and the nitro scte stock hinge pin holders. Already had the titanium pins. Had to cut the two rear though. Oh finally the arms front and rear with hub carriers and spindles. Also the ball-bearing steering. See, I wished I could of reversed everything and just bought the 3.0 scte first then just put the $70.00 buggy body on it. It's been a fun challenge but worth it. Don't forget the X-ray washers in the diff.
