Was just reading some on the Flotek bodies. Seems some have stated the Flotek bodies (raptor) is to narrow on both the front and rear.

+1 for using all vents and and then some. Check the rules for your track before going too crazy.

stick with the TLR body with the cut outs (for 5 bucks more you can purchase already cut out). proline are to narrow, For my liking that is.

The Proline Ram 2500 body shows to be 9.5 inches wide vs the other Flotek bodies of 9.0 and 9.2 wide.

HA! That's stinkin funny. Swiss cheese technology.....ha ha ha. That thing gives a whole new meaning to the word "hi-flow." Although, I could use that body in the winter outdoor races. Gets pretty windy down here that time of year

holes do help however on the SCTE due to 4wd and weight I have found it not as critical. The precut bodies are nice if you run a lot of outdoor for sure.

I personally like the standard TLR body and cut most of the holes out for outdoor but leave the very rear holes intact as when these are cut it becomes very weak and easily breaks around that area when the racing gets a bit.....um how shall I put it?.......lets say intense with a dash of over-zelious hahaha

If someone has their stock SCTE body handy. Can you please measure the width, length and approx wheelbase? Left my stuff at the track and trying to decide which aftermarket bodies will work.

Proline Flo-tek Fusion is great. When Maifield won the E-nats with the SCTE 3.0 last year, he ran the JConcepts Illusion. The stock body is really good too.

I preferred jconcept illusion/ HF2 than proline flo-tek. I don't like proline flo-tek not great handle feel like it change my truck not easy to drive as like other body. I really like ARRMA SC body and jconcept illusion HF2.

I'm out of town, but if someone doesn't get you an answer I'll measure mine when I get back. If you are trying to run wide rims just know that will reduce side bite. Stock wheel width is best. If you are trying to run a scale body, most will be more narrow and rub paint off or not allow wheel to fit inside fenders at all.

IMO, The body makes the most difference at top speed near end of straight. Speeds of 40-45 is where I notice the rear getting light. Even seen the rear wheels lift at speed which I thought was impossible. That was stupid speed though. Rear and front vents matter at speed and on massive 1/8 scale jumps. If you have a high speed track or outdoor track, testing different bodies or having more than one design available is another tuning tool. Doesn't seem to matter on smaller indoor tracks.

That ARRMA body works good without wing. Real wide in rear covering tires easy. Nice factory graphics!

The HF2 doesn't fit the body posts on the SCTE 3.0 very well. You can guess how I know! I will be getting the Illusion or the kit body again next time.

I thought I had run the Flo Tek Fusion on my SCTE 3.0, but actually i haven't. Just on the 22SCT and on a Tekno.
