V2 vs EU pistons
Which ones for medium to high bite clay US tracks? Thx
#198
For the B6, it mainly depends on what setup you are currently using. I personally run gullwing up front and shocks mounted on front of rear arms. I run EU 3x1.4 front and rear 32.5/30. For me, its a very easy to drive setup that you can get aggressive with.

Difference between v2 and EU? Thx

The XV2 are used on your typical dirt track. Low to med bite. The EU are used on high bite clay and carpet tracks. The EU has a modified sidewall of the piston that reduces friction but maintains the same amount of pack. These work really well on high bite tracks.

reason I ask is that just by what was stated about the EU it sounds like its better than the xv2 (reduced friction, same pack). What specifically about the XV2 makes it better than the EU on dirt?
sorry trying to understand
Any more news on when the tall rear AE tower will be released?

The EU has a slim sidewall that reduces friction. The XV2 has a normal sidewall that creates more friction than the EU, but the pack remains the same. The EU having less friction has been tested and proven to perform better on high bite tracks. The less friction on the sidewall of the shock body just tends to be more stable in high bite conditions.
The tall rear tower will be ready soon. We are hoping for next week.

I have 1.6x2 front and 1.4x3 rear in EU Pistons as recommended to me awhile ago but can't remember why.. Also have an additional 1.6x2 I can use for rear as well. Run med/high (Ocrc) bite clay. Running stock buggy. Should I keep these or try the v2? Also, should I stick to the 2 hole all around and what is the advantage of 1.4x3. Thx much!
