Stadium truck setup Question
 

I got some pretty hard springs on the front of my evader. Would that cause this particular truck to push really bad on corner entry? Or is this because it is not a 4wd?

Yes too hard springs up front would cause that problem, also it could be:

--rear shock oil too stiff
--front ride height too high
--binding suspension
--servo saver too soft
--steering servo too weak
--front tires don't grip well enough
--speed control set to have throttle at neutral
--not letting up for the turn


Any of these can cause a bad push, I would suggest changing one a ta time to find out which one makes the car feel best to you....

HINT:(start with the stuff that doesn't cost anything and then progress from there....)

If you need setups for it then go to the losi site, they have old setups for the xx-t which is the exact same truck as that one.

Forgot about ST being a old Losi design!!!

BUT it still works, speaks good for Losi.

The Evader is a poor handler out of the box. Upgrade to some softer compound tyres from Pro-Line, upgrade to AE rims, move tops of the front shocks inwards and the bottom outwards and lower the rideheight so that the front arms and rear Dogbones are completely parallel with the surface.

These are some of the most basic of things, but they should make an improvement. The biggest problem with the Evaders, is the rear shocks/springs are just too long for a race-like application. This was the issue on my brothers BX he owned. We simply couldn't figure out what the problem was. The rear end was way too stiff and we couldn't find any steering.
