Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

Thanks for the Pro Tip. Unfortunately, I can't help other peoples' driving.

John Newbie buys a kit, comes out to the track and ends his race day before running a qualifier because he broke in practice. What good does it do me to have a car, break something, and then not be able to replace it? This is the Number 1 reason why I never pre-order a kit or heck, even consider buying one until I see parts on the wall. So have we changed our ways this time around?
Not too sure. However, I did check with 702 Raceway here Las Vegas and they said they will actually have parts in the shop before you will even get the car. Like next week or the following. The owner said most hobby shops will have the parts before the car comes out because they are given the list of parts and order recommendations from Associated as merchants so that they can support the car when it is released. Hope his helps.

Everything is the same but:

B6-Gear diff, B6D-Ball Diff
B6-Laydown Transmission, B6D-Stand up 3 gear Trans (Idler gears are different also)
B6-Gullwing front Arms/Tower, B6D Flat front arms/Tower

you can buy all of those parts separately and convert either one to either the B6 or B6D for fairly cheap.
Thank you very much for the quick and kind reply. It's much appreciated. Especially on here. Some people seem to think it is okay to be sarcastic to someone they've never met.

I agree. It doesn't take much more time to word a post that is kind and well written.

The wiki is there so people don't have to ask and awnser the same questions over and over. Socket is pointing out something you might not have been aware of. A little direct yes, but not really rude. Maybe after you have more than 7 posts and spent hours building the wiki only to have people ask the same things over and over you will understand.

Parts will be nice in the shop but I still ordered a lot of parts to have on hand just in case Duane doesn't get everything we need at 702.

Hello, I have worked tirelessly to compile data and create a wiki for the brand car I'm currently running.

So has rc Buddha for the b6 and b6d. Neither of us are factory drivers or are compensated in any way for our efforts.

I'm not asking for a thank you, I'm asking that instead of posting a recycled question, please grab a big glass of water and a note pad, and read the wiki. It's there for your use, my use, and everyone elses. However, it's not worth anything if you don't use it.

If you don't like my responses, I'm sure you can be a big boy and ignore it. I added a smiley there to lighten my comment, however it still stands, use the wiki.

For a fact or are you just randomly saying they "should" be as in you'd like them to be?
