Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

I did see that on ae's website but in the pics the battery weight looks to be steel.

it seems quite a few companies are doing the carpet/dirt versions since xray did it on the xb2. Yokomo did it too, and now AE. bets on if losi does the same on the 22??

If TLR has any desire to stay in the game they need to. Right now it you want a carpet type car you have to buy a kit for 329 and a high traction update for 179. They say they have no plans to but they may reconsider when you add up the price point.

Question for anyone with experience with TI screws. Are the TI screw kits made by AE high quality? Ive know some companies use lower grade Ti. I have experience with Lunsford screws who are known for using high grade TI made in USA, and they have held up well. Only problem is they are super expensive.

I've only used AE Ti screw in the B5 and B5m (yes cos they're cheaper). No problems in 2 years.

I have used them too no issue. Had issue with a couple aluminum ones none with TI. to be safe thread any new holes with the factory screws to put less stress on the TI screws on new installs.

AE was an early adopter as well. They did the B5 and B5M.

Any idea if the b5 rear aluminum hubs will work on the b6? Or is the geometry different.
