Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

sure i understand this completely.. there is also not a lot of damping in chassis to concrete contact btw

running 2x1.9 pistons on the rear, ive tried this piston and it provides very little to no damping at the oil weights (32.5) commonly run.

ive gone as high as 850cst (75wt) and still had the car completely blow through the stroke and chassis slap with 2x1.9 pistons as it just doesnt ever approach turbulent flow.

must have been recent because Amain has not lowered their price yet. Tower and AE have new prices listed. AE has 20% off starting Thursday. B6 for 200.00! Speaking of prices Saw Xrays new prices 2wd 375 4wd 519. Xray makes nice stuff but how to justify that pricing......
I read in B6/B6D FB page new kit coming out soon

Oh! Speculation time!

New B6.1 will include the following:
3 gear lay down
Ball diff
67mm bones
Revised plastic rear hubs (or maybe aluminum)
Tall rear tower
31mm rear shock bodies
Revised rear arms (or maybe just B5R arms)
New battery strap and removable waterfall

Basically what most everyone is running now but in an official kit form

Don't believe what you read on the internet....lol. Nobody posting on here or on there knows anything, and if they do....they wouldn't be posting about it.

The B6 has been out for two years and the team drivers were running some new parts at worlds. I think it's pretty safe to say that a new version of the B6 will be coming fairly soon.

Pack does not equal hydraulic lock. In the normal range of piston & oil, lock should not occur on a jump landing. There isn't enough piston speed to do it. It would take some thing more like a square edge bump at high speed.

Wow, I feel extremely cheated right now. I just bought b64d team kit a few days ago and I want to say it was listed at about 415 dollars. Team Associated just dropped the price of the kit to 360. GRRRRRRRRR. That could have been a whole extra set of tires and wheels!

You think that is why the kit price dropped suddenly?

I asked AE a few months ago straight up about a possible updated B6 and they told me "not a word had been said" about updating the platform...

I'm in the market for a new motor and ESC for 17.5 stock.

I gather the pairing of a Hobbywing XR10 Pro Stock and a Team Trinity "Monster Max" is the most common/popular pointy end of stock racing gear these days?

I wouldn't expect any other response.

Yeah, though the response felt genuine, but who knows. I'm in the 'doubtful' camp. The B6 was released because there was a huge shifting point in 2WD buggies, and I'm pretty sure AE didn't want to get left behind again like with the B4 platform when everybody else already had mid motor cars.

Of course there have been improvements over the last 2 years but do they warrant a new car? A B6.1 perhaps, though definitely not a B7.
