Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

Looks good socket. Any shots with fan mounted under a clear body?

Prototype right now. I should have "mine" next week for testing and it should be out from there.

Why not behind the motor on the chassis with tape?

There isn't enough room for a fan back there with the standup trans. Laydown you are good though.

I have the laydown. Hopefully Socket is going to make one for the laydown tranny too.... matte black would be nice too.

There is plenty of room to mount a fan on the laydown.

do you have the correct spacer in the rod end linkage between the servo and the rack.

Might have to change it. With a Savox servo, I swapped the 1mm to a 2mm to center the rack.

Not a bad start with the B6. We had a reedy format race today. 6 heads up races all random order 3 wins 3 seconds. First race with it and it's amazing. I used Cavs setup, such a balanced car

Ok thanks. Seems weird but I'll play with it.
