Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

well if you turn right in the middle of the straight one me. I'll lose patience with you as well. It's cool to block. But not in the middle of the straight turn randomly

That was just one situation but there where many times in a2 and a3 where tebo was trying to drive through Rivkin.

Trying to keep things similar between us so not maintaining one thing special. The garolite pads work excellent, no issues there, but if there are things to the schelle setup that are work keeping around I am game since it came with a whole lot of spur gears.
I prefer the Triad style spurs and slipper. most consistent and the AE gears are often out of round. IMO the Triad style has better tolerances and wear. RCShox makes garo disks for that slipper.

Good evening everyone,

Getting back into the game and just picked up a B6d. Would like to check in the the knowledgeable techs on here to get some advice. In the past I have ran castle, novak on my 1/10 4x4 SCT and latest Tekin on the 1/8 Truggy / Buggy. I have no restrictions in size motor being that I wont race it in a class (not a track close enough that races them) and no restrictions on price. I like to have what's best and don't throw out any hobby wings. Track is outdoor loose to packed dirt.

Thanks for everyones time

It's raising up the C block making more of an angle so it's increasing the anti squat

Does anyone know what those inserts are that guys are running on the rear hubs? Theyre also using 67mm tlr rear axles.

some are running BMI Racing rear hub inserts. Rivkin eluded to new rear aluminum hubs AE is working on that will have this feature built-in. moves axles out 1.5mm

Doesn't increasing anti-squat usually mean less grip though?
