Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

This is very odd, and now I have to ask a question, but first... I am missing at least one part from my kit. THE CHASSIS!

So now my question... do the bags jump and skip around?
I have bags 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, B8, 9, 11, 12, B14, 15, 17, 18, B19, 20, B22, 23, 24, "additional hardware, "tools", thrust and diff greases, body & wing, sticker kit, directions, VRC gift certificate...

This is a first for me... I have put a lot of kits together, from most all the different brands, and from time to time there is a missing part. Nobody is immune... but the chassis???

My chassis bag came with other bags in it - 3-4 or so. That might explain why you're missing some bags as well.

For those of you running the Brass C mount in the rear and looking for just a bit more weight. I'm using a bellcrank weight from Centro that with minimal shaving under the lay down trans...

Ends up putting just about 30g in the perfect spot

Few care what it IS (which is what you provided), most care what it DOES (which is what I was trying to explain).

Edit: What I'm getting at is while it is changing the weight distribution, it isn't weight between the wheelbases which is pretty straight forward. That is simple static weight distribution. In this case one of the configurations has weight being put BEHIND the axle.
In terms of static weight distribution it doesn't matter where and how masses are moved around in the car, it's the final corner weight figures that count. It does increase polar moment of inertia moving the shocks back though. So in proportion to the static weight distribution, 'weight transfer' (as you refer to it) under acceleration is likely reduced, at least transiently.

Does AE have a metric screw kit that has various different size screws, not car specific? i.e just a spare screw kit to replace any stripped screws and can just be used randomly. Saves buying a pack with a bunch of same size screws.
(Not Ti or steel, just standard kit screws)

thanks for explaining, Einstein. That's a really nice way of explaining to people who don't have english as their first language. It's almost racist.
