Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

Does anyone know if a stock b5m body will fit? What about some of the JC or Pro-line ones?

Will b5 chassis protectors fit?

They do not fit....the front near the servo is wider on the B6. Chassis protectors would probably come close but there would be gaps for sure.

From the sounds of it they have changed the date several times. Could be worse like Kyosho fans waiting for a three gear and instead Kyosho brings out a rc surfboard

If it's a coordinated release does that mean hobby shops will have them on the 11th?

As long as they ordered early they should.

It just means that nobody "should" be selling them before the 11th.

Except for the shops outside of the USA. Many of them have kits and are actively selling them. Just like the TLR 22 release and the AE rc8b3 release, foreign markets get them before the USA.

The B5 as well. I have wondered if maybe when they leave China (if that is where they are made) they make it to distribution centers outside the US first so overseas folks see them a week or so faster. Ports coming into the US likely make it slower too. We will see them soon enough.... Luckily the B5m is likely not much off the performance of the 6.

No kits were shipped direct from over seas.
All B6 kits have to leave from AE in the US.
