Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

Hey hopefully sooner than later. But I am just going with watching all the past releases in the past year and PDF manuals got on the website about 2 weeks before kits got to Tower, AMain, Distributors and their dealers.

Also parts seem to beat the kits to these major online retailers and although I have not tracked the parts, I did not seem to notice them stocked up much.

AE does not have an "official" time line that things happen.
Kit manual not up could be an oversight, not sure. They could have posted it a month ago if they wanted. I will inquire about this.
Parts, yes they "normally" do beat the kits, but in this instance everything is kinda hitting at once.

I'm going to go out on a limb, and assume you don't know who Sean is.

Default Hasn't been asked from a newb yet

I have a question. This may sound stupid. Can you convert the B6 to a B6D? I know you can buy the extra parts to convert the B6D to a B6. But does it work the other way around as well?

Yep there are only a few differences. Pretty sure its on the first page but I'll go over them real quick.

Everything is the same but:

B6-Gear diff, B6D-Ball Diff
B6-Laydown Transmission, B6D-Stand up 3 gear Trans (Idler gears are different also)
B6-Gullwing front Arms/Tower, B6D Flat front arms/Tower

you can buy all of those parts separately and convert either one to either the B6 or B6D for fairly cheap.

Alright, now let's get down to the brass tacks.. Are parts only production runs occurring yet? Will parts be available in the hobby shops when the kits arrive? As we all know every car release of every kind has the same problem. Joe HotShoe has to buy 2 kits to have parts on hand for the first month in case he breaks an arm, tower, etc. because even with LHS' having items on order or even backorder they are not available. John Newbie buys a kit, comes out to the track and ends his race day before running a qualifier because he broke in practice. What good does it do me to have a car, break something, and then not be able to replace it? This is the Number 1 reason why I never pre-order a kit or heck, even consider buying one until I see parts on the wall. So have we changed our ways this time around?
