No more like the great great great great great great grandfather to the ZX6 lol.

this is the re-release of the Optima 4WD from 1985. It's Kyoshos first 4WD buggy.

Kyosho has been addressing the weak points of the originals, eg updated tranny / gearing for the scorpion / tomahawk rereleases.

So I have a feeling it will be belt, since that was the hop up option.

I just traded an original Optima a couple of weeks ago for a Kyosho Maxxum. The Optima was a bit rough and well used but it had the Option House belt conversion.

They address a lot of issues on the Scorpion / Tommy.. So most likely yes, even though I'm not sure what turtleing refers to lol. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw DCJ cvds on this thing

I remember in reading the Tower Hobbies catalogs over and over and over back in the 80's, that I always thought the Kyosho Optima was the best looking car, period. Something about that body shape, simple blue and white paint scheme, and those tires drove me crazy.
