Go to STRC racing and order the B5 aluminum 12mm rear hexes. I hear they work. They are like 4 bucks. Th e front shock tower is 10 bucks as well. Associated B4.2 ones work as well

Also guys. If you are running on carpet/Astro I highly recommend the gullwing front arms. Gives you the up travel you need for lower ride heights. I am in the process of adapting a b44 front carbon tower to give us a little more up travel with the flat arms.

I scooped the one's Cain sent over. Ripped the car on carpet for the first time yesterday, needs some dialing in but it does have potential. As for as ride hide I am using aftermarket springs and if I wanted I get run at 9mm ride height. I may try out the gullwing arms also, thanks for the heads up.

Wally, i'm looking forward to hear/see how that worked out with that b44 front shock tower!?

As for shock shafts, did someone try using ae shafts, the fronts of the b44 does say 3x21 mm, thats only .5 mm shorter than stock td fronts and you would skip those tiny screw, that holds the piston and use c-clips instead...
May you have to drill the center of the piston to 3 mm, but that should not be a problem at all?

I think, i have to drive to my lhs an get a pair of ae shafts and give them a try to fit, or does somone have them laying arround for testfitting?
Rears from ae does have 3x27.5 mm, could fit at the dex rear and give you more uptravel as well, as the 210f and the 410v5 lack there eather!

Edit: sorry, i thought wrong by using ae shock shaft to get more uptravel, it wouldn't give you more uptravel as the shock body stops the shaft at the same point...
Thats just a thing to try anyways, if you cant get td shafts and because ae does have nice golden ti- coated shafts and they can be purchased just anywere!

I don't know when I will have time to work on it but eyeballing looks like the geometry will be right on.

Default B44 front shock tower

Had some free time and modified it. Turned out great. With full compression shocks still have about 3mm of uptravel. Angle is dead on perpendicular at full compression.

Will post pics but can't figure it out on my phone. Ugh

Hello All,

As my vintage projects demand my attention most of my free time, I've desided for now, to built my dex210F in the layout it is ment for and not to put a stand up gear diff in it.
I try to stiffen up the chassis, may with some cf side rails.
Also will built my dex210v1 in mm3, with some little mods.

@Wally: Nice mod with the b44 shock tower, that Looks pritty good!

Thanks Micholix!!
You will like the F in the layout it's meant to be in. The chassis is pretty stiff compared to the 210.

nice work on the tower.

MikeR: do any other hexes work and same question as micholix, will this and other durango items be going the way of the dodo?
