Durango I think was the first to go to a hex. The bigger hex is much harder to strip a wheel and is the way to go. There SC uses a 15mm thats very thin due to wheel off set reason and you'll never strip those either. It is a better system, but 12mm hex is becoming a new standard though

Xray I believe runs 14mm hexes too. There's plenty of 14mm wheels out there. Easy to find since xray is a popular buggy brand(at least where I am at) Not so much for the 15mm hex wheels tho...

What are you guys using to secure your wings with the Exotec mount? Any specific washer size that works really well? Should I still run the wing buttons?

Love my v5. No broken belts for this guy!

This is the class I run so I am also curious to know how well the v5 goes because I'm thinking of coming back to run a 410. My son has my V3 and it simply rips so smooth and is so easy to drive so I'm unsure if I'd go with the V4 or the V5, though the refinements in the v5 lead me to believe (given durance's track record with excellent improvements with every version) it might be even better than the v4.

I wish I had driven the earlier vehicles to compare. All I can say is the vehicle just feels really good. Like good enough where the surfaces I ran it on with a stock setup (with a slight mod to say the diff fluid center) I enjoyed it. My last comparison was on carpet to a D413, and that one felt like had oversteer issues. Just didn't feel right. This car however felt really good. Could be setup related but the owner of the d413 really liked how mine felt out of the box.
question for you incubus: For carpet are you still in favor of a slipper setup? if so, do you recommend locking out the center diff? Also, any thoughts on mckune or rcshox style garolite pads?

Getting ready to start the v5 build. Do I keep the original 19 degree castor blocks or do I put in the 21 degree blocks that I had for my v4? Any input to those running the v5 would be great!

What kind of track are you running on? I run on carpet 90% of the time and really like the 19* castor blocks. I'll probably try the 21* blocks next time I run dirt though, last time I was there I had way to much steering.

I run on a indoor dirt track. Size is about 60 x 50 feet.
