Thanks for the recommendation. I was going to go Promatch since Cain recommended them, but then I saw this post again. Bought two of them and saved me about $14.

All of you guys are awesome. Learned SO much in just a week! Man!

the Viper ESC you got coming has lipo cutoff that you can configure, etc. and its set right now since I only run lipo. Its also set to blinky race mode.

Awesome, thanks Cain. One less thing to worry about.

Now I need to google and find out what blinky race mode means.

blinky basically means a setting on the esc where you can't use the various timing / boost features higher escs have. there was a time where all this was legal, which in essence made motors a lot faster than what you see in blinky mode.

the "blinky" part is a setting the esc is in where a light "blinks" to easily tell someone checking the car for being legal that it is in the legal blinky mode.

Well, thanks to Cain and RC10Nick, my used DEX210 arrived last night in the mail. I was so excited to tear down and clean that I didn't even snap any pics.

But the car arrived looking like this with a custom chassis.

(Original pic taken by RC10Nick in his for sale ad post)

I completely tore it down to get everything cleaned up and installed back on the stock chassis (which was included)

The electronics are on the way. LiPo batteries and charger are on the way. And I even have a new body on the way to add my own custom look and feel to it. I'm stoked. The teardown was a blast, and I know that the rebuild will be just as fun.

I do have to say one thing though. I was absolutely astonished at the weight of the kit, and when I put my hands on these soft compound tires.... HOLY CRAP!!!! They weren't like rubber, they were like fabric! Jeez!

yeah tire tech has really come a long way thats for sure!

The two dex210v2s I had coming are here and got a teardown last night, so will get washed up today and will get building on my vehicle here too. The various tire sets that came are interesting to see how the compounds compare, etc.

The good news is that the tires in the pic are hard and look like they've never been run, so I'll be bashing around on brand new tires with my USED 210.

Man I'm so excited. Problem is that I won't be able to drive it this week.
Everything's not here yet, and I'm going out of town this Saturday for vacation.

Still need:
LiPo's, charger, electronics - due later this week
New ball studs since a couple on the car were broken during disassembly (one split at the ball, and one had a cracked flange) - due tomorrow

Tonight, I'm going to clean up all the parts that I took off last night.
Wednesday, going to reassemble the car on the stock chassis.

With a little luck I can take it for a shakedown run before I leave town. When I put that schedule in front of me, it looks like it is possible to run this car this week.
