i dont know which thread to post this in, so i am posting it here. how much better is the losi 3.0 vs the 1.0 and the 2.0?
is the 3.0 night and day better than the the 1.0? i am really interested in the 1.0 since it can be a rear motor and i think i could get it relatively inexpensively

I thought my 22T 2.0 was my favorite, not any more. I still have my 22 2.0 and my son and it took the cars out for a shake down. I drove the 2.0 first made sure it was setup and working first, then I drove my ST (absolutely love this thing). Then I drove the 3.0, OMG, what a difference! It was on rails compared to the 2.0. After driving the 3.0 the 2.0 it felt as though I was fighting to keep the car under control (even though it felt good before).
Now with the 3.0 I can concentrate on the track and not watching the car to see if its about to break loose. Jumps and landings!! The 2.0 on certain awkward jumps I had to make sure I was setup correctly, the 3.0 didn't matter a simple punch and the car just flew over and landed perfect. I thought I would keep my 2.0 for mod and just run the 3.0 in stock. I don't think I can go back to the 2.0 ever again. The 2.0 constantly needed tweaking to make it perform, not the 3.0
The ST 2.0 really made driving and racing fun, but the 3.0 just makes me giddy

Steering
So loving my 3.0 but wish I could get some better stearing, running kit set up with 1.6 35wt red coil front, 1.7 32wt yellow rear, battery 9mil forward. Car has a ton of push and feels like it doesn't turn as sharp as my 2.0 did, almost like the travel is limited, any thoughts? Thanks

Looking forward to running the 3.0 in stock class. Thanks for all info.

I would check the position and orientation of both your anti-squat inserts to be on safe side so it isn't having the front of a-arm going other way closer to the chassis, creating a bind, or something. Not sure.
Check the rear toe inserts orientation also, so all of these inserts properly match up with what is in the manual maybe?

Thank you for the help. I will post back.
Also check the nuts on your rear hubs, if you crank them down it will cause the whole arm to bind up. They just need to be snug, I tighten them all the way down then back them off a 1/4 turn. Same with the front, if you crank down the king pin screws on the caster blocks it will bind up the whole arm.

If anyone else has experienced this and has found a good method for maybe shaving a spot on the arm without taking too much off, please let me know. Thanks.

I have it Chris. Every year when I see him, I get his most recent setup sheets. This time I got one for the 22 3.0 and one for the 22-4. He said his setup was about the same as his Reedy race setup which is already posted. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll try to email you my copy. Dustin's a great driver and I'm so happy that he remembers me every year when I see him.

I'd try Dustin's full Reedy Race setup if you're confident the tires are correct. http://www.tlracing.com/ProdInfo/Fil...2016-01-24.pdf

What effect on steering does going to a standard ball stud with 1 mil spacer have over kit setup , low mount ball stud with 1/2 mil spacer on Ackerman
I would imagine it's more aggressive coming into corner but does it have any effect with on power push when coming out of corner

Would it be 'wrong' to use drag brake to help the car turn?
