Default PR Racing ST - 2WD

Latest effort off the workbench. Bought the kit last February. Only now getting around to completing it. Even as a roller, know it will be too heavy to compete on my back yard oval. Will field it as an 'on-road' truck. Missed out on the Losi 'Speed-T' back in the day. This is catch up for that. Waiting for JConcepts 'Octagons 2.2's to come off back order.

Cheers. 'AC'

PR Racing ST roller. Planning Maclan 17.5 install.

Cool beans. No waiting. Octagons are available in Aqua compound. Works for me. Order in.

Pix to follow. July 20th is 'National Ugly Truck Day'. Be a good day to post up a body on photo. Cheers. 'AC'

Default Driveway First Test

She's a runner guys and gals. PR ST 2WD conversion to on-road with an off-road option. Easy-squeezy testing today. 2s x 3500 LiPo bench battery. ESC and radio both set 60% power. She came at 61.6oz RTR - much lighter than I anticipated. PR standard 18/81 // 4.50 gearing.

Four foot spacing on the slalom cones checking for steering binds and/or weird noises. A.O.K. there. Still need to finalize basic chassis set up. Eventually comes the road test. Then off to find a parking lot straight stretch for a GPS speed meter baseline run.

Cheers. 'AC'

Default PR Racing ST Off-Road

Well, shucks. This is an off-road sub forum, so here are pics of the off-road config. Tires are JC Sprinters up front and PL Dirt Hawg AT at the rear. Neither pair glued yet. They got grabbed out of the tire box. Still not sure that's what she'll run, but probably so.

Reamed ten holes in the spoiler. Truck carries too much wing for what it is going to do. Figured the holes would dump downforce. Also spaced the spoiler off the deck to let air go underneath.

Moved the FR steering arm ball cups to their inboard setting to clear the DE dish wheels. Plenty of ball end length adjust allowance. Two thumbs up for that PR.

Got the speed meter battery charged yesterday and velcro'd to the body. This is just a test fit for now. Enjoy. Cheers. 'AC'
