Xray XB2 2WD Buggy Thread

Most of them if not all are on their way to RC America, but unless you are willing to pay a 30-40% extra for them to have it overnighted you will actually have to wait for the shipping and customs to take it's time.
Xray is based in Europe so all parts will normally be available in just a couple of days over here while it may take 2 weeks to reach RC America and then another few days to reach the dealers.
I've asked this question before. For some reason this topic seems to get people around here aroused
Nevertheless I've been patiently waiting and have resorted to ordering part from Austria. Only place I can find the parts I need immediately. Had to pay 21 Euros just for the shipping. That's how desperate I was.
From what I have been told, the demand is very high right now because this brand has exploded — and with reason. X-ray is doing great things in the industry. That's a good thing I suppose.

I've only owned Xray cars for a couple of months now and I'm sold on them. However, if they can't get the parts thing figured out its going to be a deal breaker. In order to make it in the US market they need to make it a little easier for people to race their cars. Knock on wood, I haven't broken a single part yet. I'm more concerned about having replacement parts for maintenance. Its crazy that I cannot even get a spur gear.
All parts are in stock with Xray. And if some parts are out of stock it's normally just a matter of a few days before they will be in stock again.
But with the massive demand for the new XB2 and also XB4 I think the distributors over there has miscalculated and just not ordered enough to meet the first demand.
With the release of a new platform it's always difficult to judge how many of each parts you need.
Same thing has happened over here where distributors have gotten their stock emptied by some racers ordering a ton of spare parts to last them through the upcoming season. But as opposed to overseas they can get their stock replenished in just a couple of days. Overseas it can takes weeks for the parts to arrive.
You will see the situation going back to normal in just a short time as orders from Xray will be delivered overseas and distributors learn which parts are in high demand
If you continue to see the same parts out of stock over and over again with your national distributor then send them an email and let them know the parts are in demand.

Also, i was having some trouble with rear grip on exit when running PL primes, when I switched to AKA slicks I had way more traction. Have you tried different tires like clay chainlinks? I have found imo they have more rear grip the dirtwebs or electrons....

try 0 anti squat... are you running the ball diff? also try the 0 insert for the caster if you are not.

The same was true of the YZ-2 a year ago.

When you guys move the shocks to the back are you making any other changes (oil, springs, positions)?
You realize you are effectively making the rear suspension stiffer, and taking away traction, right?
Is it one of those we don't know why it works, it just does, kind of things?

So why are ECS's being sold for the rear of the car? This makes no sense to me. I understand why they make a difference on the front of a 4WD but on the rear it just seems like a waste.

Bentka. Thanks for the response. Yes I'm from the U.S. I guess it just comes down to I'm very excited to put all the option parts on the car. The thought of making this beast "xb2" even better is nutty! In a area full of yokomo and b5m's I'm the only one with X-ray and consistently being chased!!!
