Using medium parts over hard does create more traction and usually also more steering. But at the same time it can also make the car a bit harder to drive if the traction is high as it will flex more.
Usually we tend to run the parts as stiff as we can while still having enough traction.
Running stiffer parts does make the car easier to drive and push hard.
As an example we are running hard lower front chassis and medium top at the moment. This combination makes it feel more predictable and precise while still having a good amount of steering. Running all medium does have more traction but feels less precise and consistent at the medium to high grip tracks we run at at the moment.
Don't be afraid to mix and match different parts…….we do it all the time.
Changing arms, uprights and link mounts is quick and easy.
And thank you

Some people asked if different bodies from other cars fit the XB2, here I can show that the B5M body for example definitively does not fit and why it is not possible to put it on...

Just gone home from the club track tonight. I'm pretty pleased with my setup.
It's basically the stock setup with:
-2° toe in rear
-maximum anti squat
-35wt front/25wt rear with stock 1.3x3 pistons
- +2mm inner camber link at the rear
- shortest front camber link
- full rear suspension
- shortest wheelbase for the rear and longest for the front (to shift weight to the back a bit).
The car work superbly well with new tires. Once the tires are at around 30% life thread things go bad quickly.
Our carpet is a medium/lowish grip but I feel that if I ever get something more slippery it's going to be a merry game to set it up with stock parts... hence my next question ...
Does someone know when the mid dirt edition gearbox will be available ?
Very eager to test it .
Edit: Yeah in fact what I need is quite a bunch of spares to move the motor to the mid rear. Will there be a conversion kit ?

i am going to order one of these kits tomorrow. i want to make sure i order all the right parts. i dont know much about stuff, so sorry if this is stupid
it comes with an 81t spur, what motors run on that? is it like a 13.5? i dont see any gearing instructions in the manual for the spur to pinion charts. what is a decent gearing to run with what size motor?
tires for concrete. are these the correct tires for this truck?

My XB2 should be delivered by the weekend! I only got in one race with the PRS1V3 and that was enough for me to sell it (that and someone was looking for one!) Hopefully the XB2 will give me close to the amount of steering my Xb4/2 has. Does the XB2 share any parts with the XB4 buggies?

We have just uploaded the newest setup sheet from this weekends DHI Cup in Denmark which was run on medium grip carpet with Mini Pins.
Go to the Team Xray site and search for driver "Malin"

Rest is new as it's a new platform.

Does it share springs and swaybars?
Assume driveshaft ends and outdrives etc are common?

I ordered one. My wife is going to be mad if she sees it. I'm hoping she won't since I have so many rc trucks that it will just be missed in the mix
