Picked up a carpet edition from RC America today. Build going great....
One thing that is off, and it very well could be something I'm over looking. With the steering links at 38.7mm, this thing has a ton of toe in. Is it supposed to? Admittedly, I don't have the shocks on or the wheels on... It just looks crazy to me.
Any insight?

i had inconsistent toe on each side and that was after centering the steering on a setup station with stock turnbuckle lengths, had me stumped for a while until i noticed i had one of the knuckles on with the beveled edge facing out (incorrect) and one with the square face out. might be worth checking yours. the manual doesn't bring attention to this.

We are running them at 38.5mm at 0 degree toe with no bump steer shim on knuckles.
As mourinho says check to see if you have the steering knuckles on the correct way.
Flat side against wheel hex and beveled edge towards the inside.

And the pictures clearly show the steering knuckles with the flat side towards the hex and the beveled edge towards the inside.
I'm done proof reading the XB2 Dirt Edition manual and one of my suggestions was to make a note of the direction of the steering knuckles as apparently so many don't read or pay attention to the manual

im aware its been raised in the thread before but it seems billy isnt, so rather than being a douchebag and telling him to do a search i just showed him the issue i had.
And no, the manual does not have a "note orientation" label pointing to the knuckle, when it clearly should have.

Very obvious to me now... Not so much yesterday.
Thanks. I knew it was probably something I was overlooking, but sometimes you gotta step back and "get another set of eyes on it".

I see this is a full-blast racecar. I kind of expect the builder to have past experience that will help him/her build it properly, even if the manual doesn't specifically call out every possible building mistake that can happen. Or to troubleshoot appropriately, at least...
Happy that he's got it sorted out anyway. Just don't let him build an italian 8th scale onroad nitro car

Dont worry. Some of us even forgot to put some of bearings in the gearbox (ahem ). Then again they found out all by themselves what the problem was
