Slow XXXT

Slow XXXT
For some reason my XXXT is super slow. I've got a good pack, stock esc, new brushes. Is it possible that the transmission is shot? Is there a way to tell?
Thanks,
Derrick

Set your truck on a car stand or box or anything that lets the wheels roll freely. Take the pinion gear off and rotate the back wheels. If they run very freely then chances that the tranny is OK. I will bet you that the brushes are very dirty (maybe even burned a little). You might need to have the armature turned by someone with a lathe and install new brushes. Check with your Local Hobby Shop, or someone with a lot of experience at the local track

I just put in brand new brushes, and it still is just crawling along.

Please forgive the questions that I ask, but I don't know where you are in your R/C journey. Did you examine the armature, and make sure that it was very clean. Just new brushes with a dirty commutator (the part of the armature that the brushes run on) doesn't help.

Just for some background. If he had a xxx-t RTR2 with stock motor...Then the comm cannot be cut, its sealed can.
If this is the case, get a new motor. That one is junk.
