I can't wait for this car to come, it looks awesome. I tried to make a 4wd KF2 but ran out of time due to working away from home, the biggest issue I had was getting the front belt over the motor. With the K2 it looks like Schumacher have done this and then some, chassis looks well balanced and the motor now rotates the same way as the SX3 did compared to the wheels. I like the look of the captured ball ends as well, I changed to the rose joints for the outer steering link ends after having these pop off some times at full lock, the other issue I had with the standard ball cups was on the rear camber link but I found on the KF2 changing to the alloy rear camber link helped as the ball cups were rotated 90 degrees and in the same plane as the outer ball cups on the rear hubs.

Hello Chris,
Could you please tell me, how your impressions are with saddle packs on this car?
As i do not have shortys yet, i would like to run the k2 with saddels, or is it better to get some shortys?
Thx in advance and

Looking at Ben Jemison's buggy on petitrc, he has added what looks to be about 110g of lead, 55g to each side, of his K2 while running a length wise shorty. To me, that means you may as well run saddles. My shorty pack is 206g, my saddle pack is 266g. I plan to add the Yokomo 25gx2 saddle pack weight set under the packs to give me the extra 50g in weight.

I bought a lot of spares for my K1. Only thing I've used over 2 years are front arms, front uprights, front shock tower, front suspension hangers, and F&R shock shafts. Nothing out of the ordinary for a 4WD buggy, I tend to replace with the aluminum hop ups when the original plastic breaks. Keep the short front hinge pins handy too as they back out over time.
Oh, don't forget some spare spur gears. At least this version doesn't use the 98T "Pizza Cutters".
