Default cogging on start? when first squeezing throttle - Tekin RS + Viper 9.5 ; 2wd

I cannot figure out what is going on and seeing if other forum members have experienced this. btw, I went through the gearbox, replaced the two idler gears, went through all bearings, diff, etc... this is on a Associated/Centro c4.2 buggy which i use to run and race indoor. now teaching my two young boys to drive.

anyway, when first squeezing the throttle, there is what sounds like gears (but it is not gears) and a little squeal, i believe from the tekin rs pro esc. this just started happening. I re-programmed using the correct start and end rpm and timing curve (3).... no real changes there. motor is a viper 9.5

any ideas? thanks.

Either a new sensor wire, or a new sensor board. get the system ready to run, then roll the back tires and look at the 3 last LEDs on the esc. They should be very dimly lit and flash in sequence to tell you that it is reading the motor sensor.

SOLID advice... thank you. Will test tonight. Sensor board is on the motor or esc?

Btw... watching my boys (5 and 7) learn to drive on the centro is rough. slams into the curb, diff screaming in the grass, etc... lol.
