Default Which 2wd sct for racing?

I'm looking at buying a 2wd sct for racing on small to medium sized outdoor track. I'm thinking of buying the tlr 2.0. Is there any other kit to consider?

The TLR 22 2.0 sct and the Team Associated trucks are all great trucks. I would advise you to talk to other racers at your track and see what they are running and what truck has the best local parts support. It would be most beneficial to go with the one that is most likely to have parts available and has a knowledge base of other racers to help with setups. This is especially true if you don't have a vast knowledge of tuning.

Kyosho, Team C, Pro-Line, and XFactory (if you count their conversion for the SC10)

Do you just not know which companies make 2wd SCT's?

The 22 2.0 is an awesome truck. I've heard the new associated truck is going to be good. The kyosho sc6 is also a great truck. Imo from what I've seen...stay away from the proline pro2. A lot of guys have tried this truck and can't get it to compete.

I'm new to the racing scene but have been having great luck so far with my 22SCT. Very smooth around the track I run at.

So far one break but it was absolutely my fault. Frankly, given the nature of the crash I'm surprised I got away with such little damage.

Thx for the input guys, pretty sure I'm going to be purchase a tlr 2.0. It's also a bonus that it runs the same wheels as my 410.3

The Kyosho SC6 is amazing. I run one in MM configuration on a hard packed outdoor dirt track that gets very dusty and the car is incredible. Quiet, smooth, nimble, top not performance. The car has a plethora of ways you can set up your batteries, shorty, long stick, saddles, and block all work. The kits ball diff is superb. Plus the kit comes with everything to run either R Motor or Mid Motor.
Only option needed is the either the exotek or diggity designs cf front shock tower or the optional new Kyosho front shock tower. Also if running M Motor grab the brass rear front hanger $22 and aluminum REar Rear hanger.

You won't regret buying the SC6. Oh! The shocks are second to none in my opinion.
As said by others the AE 10.2, TLR 22 2.0, Serpent Spyder Srx2 SC are all great.
I would imagine AE new SC5M will be great.
At my area track we have all the above SC trucks besides the yet to be released AE SC5M, honestly in my opinion as well as others at the track the kyosho SC6 has the advantage and it's not do to the driver.LOL

Good luck as you will be good with any of the above.

Oh! Look at the for sale post by Seether as he has an almost new Kyosho SC6 for sale at $275 shipped. Great deal not to mention he properly builds kits perfect. It is set up in rear motor config with everything for MM as well.

i never run MM set-up but 2wd SCT RM set-up on the faster/bigger jumps out door tracks you need to run the battery up front. the body make too much uplift. so i dont think RM in SCT has an advantage like it should unless you track has a lot of hairpin turn where you can take advantage of the forward traction out of the turn (and jump that keep the front end high)!!! so RM vs MM on outdoor would likely be more on your driving style and coin flip what is better on each track. you need to ask the people at your track what seem to work better.

as far as the cars you almost can go wrong with any kyosho but the cost will be more most the time and local parts will be hard to find. but kyosho has better built parts/plastics and seem to work well on all track. now the other cars listed on top are good and could be faster on your track so i would ask people that run at your track what is best. but if i had to pick a SCT without knowing the track that i will be running on and someone told me to pick my weapon. it would be hard not to pick a Kyosho.
