Default Is Short Course Officially Dead?

Seems like the funnest class is slowly fading away...

4x4 SC is pretty popular here. 2wd SC is dead.

Out here, it's 1/8 e buggy followed closely by 1/8 nitro. I still have my 4x4 SC but it's shrunk to about 8 cars in my club. Real estate is so expensive so it makes an indoor track cost prohibitive. Somebody once gave a figure of $17k per month after heat. But last year an onroad club opened up to 1/10 buggy and about 20 of us bought cars. Now with the warm weather, everybody is out doors again and 1/10 has obviously gained some steam.

Is SC dead? Nah, it's just slowed down a bit. It depends on where you go. Every town is different. If I would bring my SC to a lot of other places, they would look at me like I was crazy because of my 4.5 turn motor.

Yes it is as outdoors on the 1/8 tracks with only 1 class of them even for big races but they show up to have a class at about 2 of the tracks i go to . The other track on club days barely a enough or none.

I agree its a fun class to run you can throw them around more on loose dirt than 1/8 E-Buggy .

It's not dead in my area and it does seem to bring in the most newbies, which is good for our hobby. Hell, that's what got me into Rc and although I have moved on to buggy and stadium truck, I occasionally bring out the sct410 and rub fenders with the other guys

Not dead in Lv. In fact my local track just started a point series for a traxxas sc class! I sold my yokomo yz-2 to get the Sc5m when it comes out. Friday nights they are sometimes 2 full heats of Sc and that's the slow night.

Last weekend it was the biggest class at our local track (Medina RC Raceway).

Always a good showing in 4x4.

Yea we have a pretty big sct class at our track making traxx rc. We had 19 2wd trucks, and 7 4wd trucks. And that was a light day lol.
