Help me decide on a buggy for casual use 2WD v. 4WD, 1/10 v. 1/8

The added extra weight on 1/8 scale RCs is an advantage IMO. Smoother over jumps; more predicable steering. But on the other hand, you gotta have the little extra room for the bigger size to get the full potential out of the vehicle. A person just needs to find a place to bash/run their RC if not running on a track designed for larger RCs. My track at home has lanes that are only 8'~10' wide with two 120' straightaways...with a lot of twists and turns in the middle...my track is much more suited for 1/10 scale stuff. I think 1/8 scale RCs drive like big old Cadillacs compared to their lighter weight counterpart 1/10 RCs.
