Thanks, running a Savoy 1258TG in my 410.3, overall been happy. What should I run on the EB48.3? Running Tekin RX8 Gen 2, so it should handle power hungry servos.

There will be many recommendations on servos but I run the Savox 1268 in both my buggy and truggy and have been more than happy. The performance is great on 7.4V but only decent on 6V so crank up the BEC on that Tekin.

I'm getting this as my first ebuggy I was wondering what are the essential spares/upgrades needed and if anyone can advise on a good 1/8 ESC/ motor combo as I've only ever ran electric 1/10 touring cars any advice/ help would be great

get the Tekno al. servo horn.that should really be the only upgrade you will need.

the tekin gen2 esc and 1900kv motor is used the most.

Ordered the Savox 1283SG for the buggy. I figured this would be the best for what I'm looking to do.

Smc and promatch both have quality 4s packs at good prices.

Checked out SMC batteries. Price is half the Protek at Amain. The only problem is what connectors should I be running?? My 410.3 runs 4mm bullets and I would like to standardize them. From what I understand the SCT needs the best connectors as possible because of the amp draw while the 1/8 ebuggies can get by with less?? Any thoughts?

Most run Deans on there buggies, I too have bullets on my 410.3 and yes there is ALOT of amp draw on a heavy 4wd SCT with a 2s setup.

550 size motors continuously generates maximum power around1000 watts while buggy motors reach around 1300 watts(guessing from neu motor chart). Since buggies use 4s lipo compared to 2s lipo in sct, amp draw will be significantly lower in theory.

So dean's should be good to go then?

Yes, that will work fine.

Deans really work fine in either.
