I am running the outdoor recommended setup for my eb48.3. How do you guys compensate for temperature change in your diff and shock oils? the setup sheet says 80 degrees F. It is around 95 F at my track in the summer. How much should i go up in my oils? Thanks!!

Is it worth going to a 2100kv motor from the 1900kv motor. just moved and new home track is larger.

With 1900kv I had more control with throttle in the air and enough power to scream through straightaway in Revelation Raceway (huge)
With 2200kv I had more torque(truggy motor) and top end but the power band in the middle smaller causing it harder to control in the air. Nevertheless, it ran cooler than my 1900kv so I switched to 2200kv in my both buggies

That being said, I didn't really have a preference, but ended up running the 1900kv everyplace on 18t, and if a really large fast track, I'd slap a 19t on it. (pinion change quicker than motor swap) Basically because I liked the 2100kv better in my truggy. (Both SMC motors)

My local track is large with big jumps and long straights. You're hitting triples barely under full throttle with a 1900kv and 19pinion. Temps are 150 after a 10 minute main. I thought about getting a 2100kv but if you have somewhat of a heavy finger I'd say just gear up. That's what I did and have enjoyed it .. easy and simple change.

Of the pro setups that I seen who run Tekin, most run the 1900kv motor. They will simply add some additional timing if they need more top end.
I run the Tekin 1900kv in my .4 and in the .3 exclusively. Always ran a 19 tooth pinion in the .3 (17 in .4). The 3 tracks in my area vary greatly in size. Never crosses my mind that I need more of less motor on any of them.

just got a killer deal on a used .3, ordering spares, is there any change to the posted tekno base setup in regard to diff/shock oil?

I just got a .3 roller too. 4076 2000kv motor for $30 and a JX servo for $28 on Ebay. I put in my Mamba Monster 2 (so big it barely fits) and took it to the track. It runs really good and the motor tested under 100 degrees F after the race with an 18t pinion. Really happy with it so far.
