Only seen rear arms break as well at our track (same with T5m). The ones I saw were all broken right next to the arm mount.

I have a Gen I Tekin Redline 10.5 motor. I'm running on a small-mid sized indoor clay track. Anyone know what gearing I should start at?

Yea same here and when they break they usually bend the hinge pin

thanks for the response, I might just go get a set of arms and spare shock tower, never know with racing haha.

Though I will go through this thread and see what mods are being done.

I have a big case of parts and the only things that I've ever broken on the B5 series of cars is steering racks, arms and a T5M body mount. Neither of my SC5Ms have broken since I built them 5 or 6 months ago. As far as spares go I'd keep fr/rr arms, fr/rr towers, ballcups, caster blocks, steering blocks, and a steering set. Its alot of stuff and its doubtful that you'll use most it but those are must haves for a club racer in my opinion. Its easier if you have the whole line up of cars as they share a lot of parts. Its amazing how durable this new generation of cars is.

The only think I have broken on my B5s are ball studs. the rear right ballstud has snapped on me 2x. I've only been doing RC cars since September, so it may be because I crashed more when I first started. I hardly ever crash now. I only race stock class. If I had faster motors, I'd probably be breaking a lot more parts.

Anyone have any problems with the nose of the truck jumping high? I'm running gray spring 37.5 up front and white rear with 32.5. Ride height 28 rear 29 front. It seems to handle well ever were except the big jumps at my track were it seem to really pull the front up. Could it be my driving style?

I'm guessing it is driving style. Are you staying on the throttle in the air? I've found that it is pretty nice in the air for the most part. If you stay on the throttle for too long after leaving the jump face it might get pretty tough to bring the nose down.

yes I've been trying to give it throttle to make the jump and land.

A lot of it depends on the design of the jump too. I usually attempt to stay on the throttle just a bit when the tires leave the jump face and then use a touch of brakes to bring the nose down to downside the landing. If you are wide open throttle for too long in the air, it will be tough to correct it with the brakes. While in the air, throttle brings the nose up, brakes bring the nose down.

If it's only on big jumps, is your body parachuting? Do you have vent holes cut out? If anything, the truck seems to nose down jump for me.

if you're going nose up on the big jumps maybe you need to let off the throttle a little sooner.
