I actually use the outerwears for the SC10 2x4. Its not the exact fit but it works. Or you can use the SC10 4x4. Remeber the fit isn't exact, but it does do a good job of keeping most of the dust and dirt out.
I wanted to buy the Traxxas Slash 4x4 outwear, as it definitely has more room to spare and having the zipper open up the middle doesn't require me to peel the velco off everytime for a battery change.

Anyone else having problem with this truck nosediving? It wants to nosedive, ALOT and I cannot seem to stop it. 17.5 blinky, 3 gear, No drag brake, stock set up. 2 small pads behind battery and i have even tried it all the way back. I even tried the grey springs in the rear and no help.
any good advice would be appreciated.

Need to go to grey front truck springs, or greens in the rear. I run 35wt oil up front too. Mine liked to jump a little nose down too until I put in the three gear trans. Now it jumps and flys amazing. You can also take some stroke length or "droop" out of the rear.

Yokomo dif
Does anyone know or has anyone tried to mate a yokomo diff case with its motor plate to the sc5m chassis? I know that yokomo and associated use to share a lot of similar parts back in the day. I'm asking because I will be switching to a carpet track and the yok has that lay down diff which would help a lot.

Isn't the red diff like $100? Where as the yok is $6 for the case, $30 for the gears, and $6 for the motor plate. A much more easier pill to swallow.

Agreed. When I first tried the sc5m from a sc10.2, it did the same thing. Then I reliesed that I need to be hitting the face of the jump with the same power all the way up it and not "gun it" up the face. When's it's in the air you have to keep the rear wheels spinning forward a little. A mid motor can get its nose down a lot easier than a rear motor. As I have switched my sc5m back to a 3 gear to help on a loose track, this principle still applies. Only difference is that now with a 3 gear it tends to nose up a little more easier in the air.

I will be switching to carpet next month. And was told be a factory driver that I should be getting hard arms front and rear. Gear diff w/3000-5000 wt.. Already have the brass c but add the brass front kick up 25g.. And possible rear sway bar. Also looking to add a lipo plate 25g.

Whats the part number to the sway bar kit? I think I'm going to do the gear diff next!

What is the heaviest front shock oil anyone is using? My truck jumps great but noses dives in high speed corners. I have 37.5 w/asc white springs now. I'm going to go extreme and try 80wt tmrw. Anyone else try it?

So I run 1.6 pistons in the front with 40 wt. oil and no nose diving for me at all. You could just try 37.5 if you want to keep some steering or if your track is low to medium traction. Use the Grey front springs and white rear. and probably 30-32.5 wt in the rear also with 1.6 pistons
