It's only a joke when the timer runs out and you have to renew the lease :P

Has anyone gotten the Pro-line Flo-Tek Ford F-150 Raptor SVT to fit on the SC5M? I tried doing a test fit and the rear body mounts are really close to one of the bumps (?) on the back bed and it doesn't look I could even get the body clips in.

I did - I used two body posts from my Tamiya TT-02 which I had as spare. Drilled in a hole to mount it - with this mod you're able to mount the body clips 90° shifted. See the attached pictures

My SC5m is already very stable, it's easy to catch when the rear slips in turns. It's more like it could use a little bit more steering, setup is still out of box on loose, hard clay.

I want to keep this so I looked for 0 offsets like the KMC were stated... hm...
A friend of mine got an SCTE; guess I'll try his rims in terms of binding etc.

Thanks again, I will report

So, my report:

I didn't try my friend's rims at all, just ordered rims and tires.

- DE Racing Trinidad (+3mm Offset) with Proline Blockade M3
- JConcepts Hazard (+3mm Offset) with Proline Caliber M3

Works very well, didn't change noticable in driving. Also looks very good
Only thing I changed was the toe-out of the front wheels (kit setup) to neutral toe at first to try to get more steering, maybe I'll change to toe-in.

What I'm curious about is if the FT drivers use any of these "SC6M" style upgrades you see discussed, or if they're still more regular SC5M configurations?

I know Brian Kinwald was one of the first to hybrid the 5th and 6th gen's together.. He made several, and sold a few if I recall.

Beyond him, it's hard to say as short course doesn't get the coverage it once did, or get ran at every race- I don't think IOCC ran it based on the pics.
(Could totally be wrong there though)

Thanks Hasi. I think I have an old set of SC10 body mounts laying around. Hopefully the posts will fit in those holes.

Hmm.. the body posts from the SC10.2 might be a better option since they're square and the clip holes are oriented the right way. Anyone know if they fit on the SC5M?

could you heat the body post and bend to get the angle you need? you can also spin the post 90 degrees and drill new holes for the screw to pass.

Had our first race sat. of this years indoor winter racing series Track was high bite all night, a lot of guys were having trouble with excessive body roll, and mine was loose in the rear end all night had to try and drive it like a sprint car which I hate having to do, not sure if I was driving in to hard causing it or what. had the rear camber links long which is supposed to help on high bite tracks and even took the rear inboard ball studs down 1mm to try and help, had plenty of steering, and my brother who has same truck was trying different things was complaining of excessive body roll all night. Because of the number of entries we only ran 2 heats then the mains so not a lot of track time to try and figure it out.

In case anyone is wondering, the SC10.2 body posts fit really well. The holes are a little smaller but you can jam the SC5M screw through them without any problems.

Anyone else using the Schelle (Wallie Builds) sway bar? I'm having a hell of a time drilling holes in the top plate. I can't get them straight for the life of me. I might have to find someone with a drill press.

I'd take inboard washers out of the front end to prevent traction roll, and put em back in on the rear end to get rid of the loose condition. In other words, HRC in front, LRC in back. Maybe try a front sway bar

How do get 0 degree anti squat? The pills that go in the hinge pins seem to only go to 1 or 2 degree. Do I need the factory black plastic hinge pin keepers?
