My son can push the truck as hard as he wants and short of having a horrible line and crossing the groove it doesn't traction roll with the 4 gear.
I was thinking about it more and one difference his truck has over everyone else are the tires. His has ghosted clay Barcodes where as mostly everyone else runs Proline Primes or some other slicks.
Our outdoor season is coming up quickly so I am not going to experiment with the 3 gear anymore but just thought it was weird how it acted differently on the SC5M compared to the T5M and our B5M's.

I've only traction rolled because one corner exit/entry into another at my track puts the truck facing sideways down a steep slope in order to punch it onto the main straight. Only rolled if I tapped the brakes. But it could also be my roll centers as I've changed them from kit setup.
I've changed the front springs, roll centers, rear shock angle, front toe out from the kits. The kit setup seems to be more setup for the US point and shoot style of the US tracks.

Have any pictures of the track you race on?

Well, the track just got ripped up this week, if everything goes well. The track will be ready to race on a new layout and clay this Friday. Hoping that my setup will work on it well enough as a starting point. It's good enough that it's actually drivable for me. Kit had too much front grip bias and not enough turn in at low speed. Track has a mix of low and high speed corners.
Been a little busy with the upgrade. Not sure how it will go with a 10.5. Only one way to find out.
I've also done something a little different with my wiring by running the sensor wire under the batteries.

Ive searched the thread, does anyone have a good setup for a medium to low grip, bumpy dirt indoor setup? Ive got a problem with pushing into corner and losing the rear on exit. I am using Cav's Roar setup, but our track is far from a smooth national track.

I recently bought a sc5m, and trying to figure out what wheels to buy. Specifically knowing what wheel hex wheels i need. I was looking at the JC Concepts F-11's they say they have 12mm hexes? But i am going thru this forum and am seeing 8mm and 6.5mm hexes? What should I be looking for?

I have both 0mm and 3mm offset wheels and they both seem to work. A wider wheelbase should result in a more stable truck, but I do not know of other considerations. I personally have not had functional issues with the 0mm offset wheels I share with an SC10 4x4.
