Running close to what the manual suggested with ratio. Funny thing is the book has the ratio at 7.24 but really is 7.5 if you calculate it. I finished up at 7.6, 76/26. I go up and down from there depending on track.

The AE mid platforms seem happy 99% of the time running 1* as it makes the rear end sit down off the corner.

I've tried 2* in various traction conditions and generally it stiffens the rear under compression a noticeable amount, to the point you can get more mid-exit steering if you need it, but also makes the vehicle launch differently off the jump.
1 just seems to be the sweet spot most of the time.
Thank you for the reply. I'm pretty sure I'm on the right track now. That will give us one less thing to sort out when we hit the track. Then i can concentrate on gearing to the new track configuration. We started the build before the SC5M came out, when the only MM SCTs were the Losi and X-Factory, which are 4-gear. It's kind of a blessing that the new truck is out, and people are using the 3-gear in it. This gives us a rough baseline to work from. My youngest son did all of the cutting, drilling and assembly, with the exception of building the shocks and transmission. I had already put them together from a myriad of components from several manufacturers. He's a quick learner for 10 years old, and this hobby is teaching him skills that will help him later in life

jconcepts does not make or have any parts for the old SC10 swaybar.I found one from my old truck and modified it for the SC5M and yes it made a world of difference.
I couldn't make out the diameter of your front bar. Is it 1.0 mm? And what kind of track surface are you running on?

I'm running a Certified 17.5 D4 SS and absolutely love it

I noticed Cavalieri is using the white Xgear rear springs. Is the xgear spring softer or harder than the kit rear spring?

I go to the AE site, parts and accessories for the SC5M looking for front springs. Listed as medium # 91435, BUGGY springs listed on the parts page of the SC5M.

Any one know the correct part # for the SC5M font springs?

Green Front 3.75lbs. #91635
White Front 4.10 lbs. #91636
Gray Front 4.45lbs. #91637

These are documented all over the place...best place to start.

Just going to invest into some aibrush equip and sorting out on which bodys I could train:

Would this body fit nicely?

(Any kind of performance issue that may occur? (Air Flow or something like this?)

That body will fit nicely.....make sure you check out the rear body mount holes before you paint and make sure you pick the right ones. This body is meant for other truck models so I would just check to make sure.

Does anyone happen to know what body the kit comes with? I'm trying to find a replacement body and I don't really like the options I see out there.

I like the factory one.
