What would you recommend for a steering servo for a team associated sc5m that won't break the bank?

I thought about going Savox but you have to use capacitors to avoid brown outs.

A TS-920 would be perfect: fast, metal case+gears, takes HV, and cheap. I've run them in a SCT410 and D413 with no problem.

7.5-10.5 would be good. I switch between a 10.5 and a 7.5 depending on trac conditions.

Okay good to know. Thanks! Is it worth the extra money to go to the RSX ESC vs the Gen 2? I know the Gen2 can only go to a 8.5T but and the RSX can do all the way down to 2.5T .

I know from experience that the 8.5 limit on the RS gen2 is no joke. I had issues with it even handling that much motor. However, that was in a 4wd buggy. But for what its worth, I only run a 10.5 in my SC5M and its plenty for a medium size indoor clay track. For me I feel like much more motor and it gets hard to drive. With the 10.5 I feel like I'm actually able to use the power that is available, not just babying it around the track to keep the wheels from spinning.

Thanks, I know a lot of the guys at the local track were running 8.5T motors. I can always turn it down as well. Was just curious if the RSX was the better route to go.

Anyone have a good starting setup for indoor med-high bite clay? We run JConcepts Dirt Webs in Gold. Only have had the truck for a few weeks and just wanted to see where everyone else is at.

Also what size clamping Hexes (aluminum) for the front and for the rear? Also what offset wheel to use with these Hexes?
